Overview

CineFilm helps users identify movies, TV shows, anime, and series from screenshots or scene frames. This policy explains what information CineFilm collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

CineFilm may process the image you choose to scan or upload so the app can identify the scene. CineFilm may also collect app-generated user identifiers, device identifiers, device and platform metadata, scan history, watchlist items, subscription status, purchase events, support messages, and basic diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How We Use Information

• To identify scenes and return movie or series details.
• To show scan history and saved watchlist items.
• To enforce free scan limits and manage CineFilm Pro subscriptions.
• To provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• To diagnose crashes, errors, and backend service issues.

Image Handling

Images are sent for analysis only when you choose to scan or upload a frame. CineFilm is designed for movie and show frames; avoid uploading sensitive personal images. Uploaded images may be processed by CineFilm backend services and third-party AI providers to produce the requested result. CineFilm does not intentionally store raw uploaded image files on its servers; scan history stores identification metadata such as title, confidence, provider usage, and timing.

Third-Party Services

CineFilm uses Supabase for backend services and anonymous authentication; configured AI providers such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic for scene identification; TMDB for movie and TV metadata; RevenueCat for subscription status; Apple App Store services for purchases; and Iubenda for privacy/cookie compliance. Movie metadata is provided by TMDB. CineFilm is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. CineFilm does not receive your full payment card details. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Data Retention

CineFilm keeps account, scan, watchlist, subscription, diagnostic, and security information as needed to provide app features, maintain service integrity, respond to support requests, and comply with legal or operational requirements.

Your Choices

You can choose not to scan or upload images, remove saved watchlist items in the app, and manage subscriptions through Apple. To request account or privacy help, contact us at the support email below.
